Production Planner
A brilliant opportunity to join our Production team
What’s it all about?
The core focus of this role is to ensure that stock levels are maintained across the planning portfolio. To do this you will create weekly Factory Plans for the site operations team to deliver. Other key areas of focus will be planning the delivery of NPD projects and identifying improvements to the short term planning processes and systems.
Key Accountabilities
- Create a production schedule for the factory for each planning cycle.
- Lead regular planning meetings with the operational team to agree the schedule and resolve any issues.
- Measure and track progress against plan making priority calls as needed throughout the planning cycle.
- Communicating clearly a summary of performance against plan once the plan is complete.
- Plan and track stock builds to meet promotional peaks
- Coordinate the planning of factory trials capturing the trial team’s requirements within the production plan.
- Maintain a 6 week view of weekly stock cover and service risks.
- Ensure strong communication regarding material requirements and priorities to the inventory team.
- Identify risk to service and work cross functionally to take actions to minimise any service impact.
- Escalate service risks to the Planning Manager where a satisfactory resolution or support is required.
- Maintain regular and effective communications with Commercial and Customer Services on service risks and stock levels.
- Carry out root cause analysis and agree timely corrective actions for any issues that disrupt the plan.
- Support the planning of Business Projects from Gate 3 to launch.
- Ensure master data within all planning systems is kept up to date to ensure process functionality is maintained.
- Responsible for adhering to safe systems of work processes and acting in a safe manner to protect the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
- Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external standards eg BRC, IFS, Femas.
